Introduction


Pringles is a brand of potato- and wheat-based stack able snack chips owned by the Kellogg Company. Originally marketed as "Pringles Newfangled Potato Chips", Pringles are sold in more than 140 countries, and it was the fourth most popular snack brand after Lay's, Doritos and Cheetos in 2012. The Pringles have many flavors and Pringles is advertised in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland with the slogan "Once you pop, the fun don't stop.

Pringles is very active on social media networks and they are present on all of the most popular social media networks including:

·         Twitter                                                                                      
·         YouTube                                                                       
·         Google+
·         Pinterest

The objective of this post is to study the social media strategies of Pringles and explore their social media presence by examining their social media channels to see where Pringles gets the most attraction from the customers.

Pringles is active on its various social media channels.  It is consistent with their posts, averaging a post per day on each of their social media channels.  When looking at Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram, The YouTube has a least post of the pringles like after two or three months.

Pringles encourages customer feedback through social media. Pringles chips Facebook page has 25,003,291 likes and there is about one post in each week.   The Pringles continue to come up in their posts on Twitter.  The Pringles twitter page has 359K followers.  There are 2,204 and 2049 likes for this page and so many videos and photos are shared with the people. Recently the tweet about the Pringles is they that are introducing something new about the pringles flavor related to the any kind of flower. Pringles posts one tweet after two days.  On YouTube Pringles has 14,727 subscribers 31,981,562 views.  On Instagram pringles posts once every couple of days for a total of 198 posts 73.6k followers.

The purpose of the posts on social media is to get consumers aware and excited about the flavors that pringles offers in order to try to get a sale to the customers who like the potato chips.  Pringles wants to generate interest for the brand and the flavors offerings, especially new flavors which they introduce, so they focus on promoting content that helps to promote awareness of the pringles. 





TWEET OF PRINGLES

 Pringles seems to be most effective on Facebook and YouTube because they have the most followers on those social media channels.  The posts get many likes, shares and comments demonstrating that customers are engaging in the content that is posted by Pringles to attract the customers and especially the teenagers who use the Facebook and YouTube more and also like the pringles to eat.

Pringles is available on all major social media channels providing an opportunity to interact with their audience and create their chips awareness among the people. There are many competitors of the pringles like the Lays, Doritos and Cheetos but the Pringles is at the first position among of these three. Overall, every social media channels has a various posts and followers of the pringles chips. In a nutshell we can say that the Facebook and the YouTube has much followers of the pringles as compared to the Instagram and the other social media channels.
